I live in southeast missouri on the New Madrid Fault line.

We had a little shocker last night a 3.5 at about 2:30A.M. it scared the crap out of me for some reason it was really loud.

At first I just thought it was my sinus medication messing with me but, I woke up Tueday morning to find out I was right

A 3.5 is pretty small anybody else have any significant earthquake experiences to share?

About 14 years ago or so here in the Bay Area (California), we had a 5.2 or somesuch earthquake which struck at about 1am. Coincidentally it struck shortly after this girl I was dating and I had just finished a rather lengthy session in bed... Was pretty funny at the time..

Yup...3.5's are commonplace...There's probably a 3.5 going on right now and I don't even feel it

I've been through 2 earthquakes, both rather small..

We felt the very deep 6.8(?) quake in Olympia not long ago down here in Portland.. It shook things for a while.. long enough to go, "Whats going on? Oh... Under the tables!" lol..

Before that, we also felt the "Spring Break Quake" that originated near Molalla, Oregon. It was only a 5.4 or so.. Wasn't really much..

Everyone is all paranoid now, today everyone kept talking about how the "Big One" is coming and all that crap

Here is a link with some information on the most active Earthquake zone east of the rockies
Linkay

I guess the 8.0 back in the 1800's is still freaking people out

An earthquake like that would apparently in todays time level Memphis, TN
