3.6? Could you even feel that? That's a fairly small earthquake.
yep, I felt it. In fact, it was the first earthquake that i have ever felt, lol.
Buddy and I were in his house watching the NBA playoff game. we were chilling and talking, then suddenly felt a quick jolt--like a car hit his building. We were a bit..."off" at the time :sneaky: so there was a few seconds where we mutually had to accept that we both experienced it rather than the shock being a figment of our imaginations.
His GF came out of the other room and was "wtf was that?"
no car outside, so yeah: EarthQuake! woohoo. I've slept through others since I have been here, or been in buildings or other parts of town where I would not have felt them. If I were at work, our building is a giant fortress and I would never have felt it.
I was in Albany, CA, btw. just north of Berkeley. we were all a bit excited, his GF actually posted a report on USGS. we had no way to describe the level of the tremor, though (mild, moderate, strong, violent) because we just have no perspective.
For me--it was enough that I noticed, which makes it moderate in my book. :\
But there was a bit of a noise, I guess, as the building shook. It definitely felt like an impact, almost like being rear-ended in your car.
