Earthquake in Portland, OR (tiny 2.8)

hmm... Been a long time since I've been in a feelable earthquake. Last one I remember was when i lived in San Jose in 1986. 6.0 I believe.

I'm in a office building in downtown Portland and didn't feel a thing.

My wife who works on the east side in a 2 story building felt it.

Speaking of earthquakes....

I had a foot-long bratwurst at a baseball game lastnight.... my poor gut.....

2.8 isn't an earthquake!!

I could drop my yellow pages and cause a 2.8

😛

We had a 5.4 here a couple of months ago and a lot of people didn't feel it, be cery surprised if anyone felt a 2.8

I would say that is a tremor and a pre-cursor to a real and much bigger quake. You guys may be in store for one at least a 6 or better.

Sheesh! Here, in So. California, 2.8 is a tourist grade quake. I think the simulated quake at Universal Studios Tour is bigger than that. 😎

Looks like the Oregon tremblor was a pre-cursor for bigger quakes along that falt line. Japan got rocked last night by a series of quakes all 5 or better. That Pacific fault line is one giant circle between the Continents.

Quakes Jolt Northeastern Japan, Hundreds Hurt
