Earthquake in Pakistan/India.

I came back from the airport a couple of hours ago after dropping off my father in law. With luck we were able to get a plane ticket for him to Pakistan this morning. Most of his relatives are presumed dead. Just heard on the news that the death toll could reach 18,000. My wife talked to her cousin who was near the city of Muzuferabad and he painted a very grim picture 🙁 Talked to mom in Islamabad and she stated that she could not sleep all night due to after shocks.

I did a search and could not find any other threads on this.

my wife's aunts family lost 22 members. Only 2 are reported to be alive.

I have many relatives out in India, was fortunate in my case though...

I don't really know what to tell you other than we know people who were on the phone with their relatives while it happened, as in, they were talking and it started. 🙁

we have not told her yet.... dont know how. I will be doing it in the morning. My father in law will arrive there tomorrow aroud 9:00 pm. He will call me and give an update. My mom told me that 80% of the houses in that area are demolished. I had to give my wife over the counter medication to help her sleep🙁

the toll's gone up to 19,500 and apparently, it might go up to 30,000 ..sad....
