Earth is one weird place

Does anyone here realize how messed up this planet is? If you're reading this, you live in one world. Yet someone who lives just a 2-hour Concorde flight away lives in a world that hardly resembles ours. Man, people in Africa still live in the Dark Ages! No wonder species from other planets haven't bothered contacting us yet. Every time they pass by, they probably stumble upon one of their stories, shake their head and move on

This planet is actually a pretty standard M-class planet, only one certain Humanoid species on it (namely us Humans) are the ones who are messed up. Not all of us, fortunately, otherwise Humankind would have gone down in flames centuries ago.

As for the poverty the majority of all Humans is suffering from, our first priority is to reduce the worldpopulation of Humans. It's namely impossible to let everyone live in the same conditions as those in the Western world, since this world simply can not provide the necessary energy.
