Earphone to replace iPod earphone

I usually listen to iPod when I work out,

couple days ago, my earphone (one that comes with iPod) broke.
it seems like my sweat got in it...

so, I need a replacement

Nothing expensive.. i don't need one of tose shure ones....

but, something durable and can last long.

for quality, as long as it's better than the stock iPod earphone, i am fine with it.

any recommendation???

for FREE?

what do i say to apple?
"mine broke, send me new one"?

can i just go to local apple store for it?

You have to call in and go through apple's customer service. Is your iPod still within the warranty period?

i didnt' know the earphone was part of warranty....

now the question is.. does ex71 out performance the stock iPod earphone?
if it does, by how far?

sennheiser...

i've got a pair of MX300 earbuds that came with my rio karma, and they sound a whole lot better than the oem ipod earbuds... those things are just trash

same exact thing happened to me last week while at the gym. Sound still comes out of the right, but the left is either dead or muffled, depending on if I jiggle the wire.

mx300 is cheap... but.. looks very weak...

do you know their durability?

Get the iPod earbuds with the built in wired remote
Same price as the regular earbuds. Apple is stupid with their blatantly obvious price jacking.

Or the sony ones on the apple store/headphones

If you have a white iPod, Logitech makes wireless headphones (not earbuds). Also for sale at the Apple Store

Mine broke too... after the SO slammed them in a car door

I went with the ER-6i's as well. Great sound, I can't listen to regular buds anymore without being disappointed

they look like your standard, black earbuds.... i've had mine for about a year or so, they're still working, but i don't really abuse them. if you're planning on using them while working out, i'd suggest an inter-ear phone such as the shure e2c's, now they're a bit more money, they get a lot better bass and sound isolation because they actually seal your ear canal... not to mention the fact that they hold themselves in your ear a lot better than basic earbuds

look them up, you'll understand what i mean

I have the mx500, about $20. I don't use the storage case or anything for the last few years and it still works. Not a scratch. Sounds good too.
