Maximum of 600 points per day, so it doesn't pay to keep refreshing. Gonna take 8.3 days to get a 15.00 GC at that rate.

Well... I know where not to invite you to Harvey!

I agree that their food is not the best, but for the price they can't be beat. If you know of a cheap good lobster(+-$25), lemme know, I'll take you out. :)

I'm so crazy about them lobsters and shrimps that for Christmas I got a RedLobster gift certicate from my brother-in-law. And on New Year's I paid $7.00 for one raw shrimp. Mind you that the sucker weighed a third of a pound with no head. Never seen bigger.

So excuse me cause I have some surfin to do.

Dear Overboard Club Member,

We recently introduced the Passion Meter and Passion Points as a way to reward our most enthusiastic and loyal website guests. As you are aware, we've had some trouble with it over the last few weeks. We want you to know we are extremely grateful for your patience through all of this.

Unfortunately, some entity or entities have caused more confusion and frustration this week by sending some of you unauthorized and erroneous email messages regarding our Passion Meter problems and the remedies being taken to correct the situation. Any message you may have received after we alerted everyone to the issue on Monday, January 22, 2001 is false, and our legal counsel is actively pursuing the matter to identify the source of these bogus emails. Here are the facts, and our official resolution of the matter.

We have tested the Passion Meter extensively on various web browsers since the point problem came to light, and we find it's still flawed. We have determined there are no reasonable corrective actions that can be taken at this time to fix the problems. So, regrettably, we have to completely remove both the Meter and the point accrual system from our web site as soon as possible the week of February 5, 2001.

We don't want to disappoint anyone for our problems, and we want to keep your fire alive for Red Lobster. Therefore, we're happily going to reward your loyalty and patience. All charter members who signed up for the Overboard Club on or before January 26, 2001 will be getting a $15 Gift Card. Your card should arrive in the mail within the next three weeks at the address you entered when you registered for the Overboard Club. Even if you didn't have the chance to accrue the necessary 5,000 points, it's our way of saying thanks for your support. At Red Lobster, we're as passionate about our customers as we are about great seafood!

It's important to recognize that you are still a charter member of the Overboard Club, and you will continue to be eligible for great offers, sweepstakes and advance promotion notifications.

Please visit RedLobster.com again soon, because we're still passionate about giving you the best service, and the best seafood, around. Again, thank you for your patience and understanding.

Cool. I just got one of them emails too.

Just wish they would hurry up and send the cards this week, as my birthday is next week and I wouldn't mind eating TWO lobsters to celebrate. :)

I never go to Red Lobsters for seafood. I agree, RL is the K-Mart of seafood restaurants.
