Mark Foley still took 48% of the vote? Am I reading that correct? I don't know his Democratic opponent. Does he punch babies or something? How does half of this Florida district still want this guy? Or am I wrong here?

Foley's name was still on the ballot but his votes went to the replacement Republican.

Just curious, where do you see that? CNN is reporting only Arlington and Charlottesville imcomplete, at 50% and 89% respectively. Everything else they show as 100% reporting.
You're seriously misreading the data. You're presumably only looking alphebetically at the counties. It only goes through the Cs on the first page, you have the option to switchting to other pages with the rest of the county data though.

Go the the pick county search option at the top of the page to get the rest of the data.

Ok that's strange. What an odd position to put that replacement guy in. Vote Foley on November 7th! Ya that would be tough.

DEMS TAKE HOUSEEEEEEE!!!!!!

At least according to CNN/MSNBC.....FoxNews says Dems need one more seat for house!

Recount in VA? And yes, Dems win house!

Anyone else watching the live Daily Show / Colbert Report special? It's hilarious!

Allen

Webb

Virginia:

Absentee ballots havent been counted yet? F

Don't they usually favor the republicians? I assume the majority of them are military people?

Please LMK of the facts surrounding absentee ballots, if you can. Thanks in advance.

Doh! I sure did, thanks for setting me straight. There is still hope.

Under 10k with 97% still reporting.

Under 8,000. Right down to the wire. Exciting either way! :Q

Edit: Under 7,000 now. Also, Richmond City as 67% reported and favoring Webb hugely. With 16,000 vote lead in Richmond city, it could be another 8k for Webb! :Q

Whoa, McCaskill climbed all the way back up. I have a feeling Talent won, but that looks like it could be a crazy race too.

Anyone else thinking that even if the Dems dont take the house....they'll still be able to push some legislation through? Say the Senate ends up 52-48 in favor of Repubs...with moderate language in bills they could definitely push some measures through.

Otherwise it's gonna be gridlocked liked LA traffic at 5pm on a friday

I get the feeling that Webb lost Virginia.

Absentee ballots in Fairfax, 30,000 have not been counted

According to this dude on MSNBC

The way things look, I would bet there will be an automatic recount in Virginia.

DEMs won't pick up the Senate IMO, but at least with the House there will be a level of oversite in govt that we haven't seen in the last 6 years.

The first thing they'd better do is look into the voting issues. Just because the DEMs pulled a pretty good night at the polls doesn't mean these problems don't exist, and they need to be dealt with.

Virginia:

67% of precincts reporting for Richmond County - Favors Webb
30,000 Absentee ballots in Fairfax not being reported. Should favor Webb

Loundon County and Prince William County -Absebtee Ballots - Divided Counties

Automatic Recount if the difference is less than .5%.

I got all this from the guy on MSNBC
