These are all projected. I will wait for final results, but so far looking good. Playing with house money now. Crossing fingers for Webb in VA. That one is a nailbiter.

Ya don't say!!!;)

Decent guy, and his wife is beautiful and classy.
Having met them a few times, I project a run in 2012.
Non-religious Jew and his Southern-born wife could be strong in both red and blue states.

I actually, sincerely feel bad for Chafee. He's a good guy, but he's in the wrong party at the wrong time.

He has only himself to blame. He should have switched parties.

Yup, he was a Republican who voted like a Democrat. But because the people want Democratic control of both Houses, he's getting the boot.

Things aren't looking good for Webb in VA, and consequently not looking good for the Dems' prospect of taking control of the Senate.

I totally agree... or at least run as an independant.

looks like he lost by a HUGE margin (something like 25% to 75%), probably nearly exclusively because of his party affiliation.

If Webb loses, he prolly won't shake Kerry's hand for another 20 years :D
That race is way too close. Allen ahead by 1%, but Arlington only 50% of precincts reporting. Is it a big city?

Where does this place the Dems?
I thought they were more likely to win the house...they are on their way in the Senate...

There's no way they will get a majority in the Senate, although it is nice to see them pick up a seat or two.

By the way, not olny will I happily eat these words if it comes to pass, but I will also send each of you a "HE'S MY PRESIDENT NOW!!" bumper sticker.

Casey projected! Santorum is OUT!

Excellent! Of all the seats in the Senate I hoped the Dems would pick up, I wanted Santorum out the most. That guy is 500 years behind the times.

Seconded this!

Really? CSPAN had said northern VA is slow to report and Webb is strongest there...so his percentage would more likely increase in time.

He's from my state and the first one I want out - looks like my desire will be met. Hope returns!!

Fairfax county VA has not been counted

They have the heaviest population in VA and they lean for DEMS!

Yep, the only county close in size to Fairfax or Arlington is the one that includes Virginia Beach. And both of those counties are pretty strongly democratic.

Haha, you're probably going to be a dead man after you're done with that. Right now it's 62-38 Casey. :D

Edit: Seems like the libbies on CNN are throwing in the towel with Tennessee and Virginia. They're talking about who the GOP majority leader will be in the Senate. It's gonna be 50-50 I think.

For the Presidential Election 2004 Fairfax voted mainly for Kerry.

I am hoping the Fairfax people went and voted today.

When I went it was kind of empty :(

We will see.

Adding another "yup"...it's really like two different states. But the southern DC area in VA is VERY different (and very large) compared to the rest of the state. Still, I'm not sure it's enough to put Webb over Allen...we'll see though.
