no cuz u will be up all night shoveling

also i have friends that would pay $20 an hour to help shovel/snow blow their accounts while they are down the street plowing another

At that age, poor college student, just for some side $, I'd probably do it.. why not? it buys you lunch for the day and some spending money to boot.

you see, I'm confident that i could find a different job in the afternoon though (the job market around here is pretty good for getting $8/hour jobs, lol), and if I worked elseware I'd get more hours. the only thing is, the pay wouldnt be as good. (I wouldnt get paid 3 hours of of work every time, even if it only took me an hour)

so yeah, thats the dillema

if the alternative is you would be sleeping at that time and not working some other job, then you should take the job

and if you can also get a job in the afternoon, do that too

no dillema , get more jobs and make more $

Go ahead and take the job. If it sucks, you can quit.

You said something about contracts in the OP, I hope they're not going to make you sign a contract agreeing to work this job for a certain period of time. If so, then find something else.

yes, the contract is like that unfortunately 🙁 so yeah everyone, quitting is out of the question.

where do you live? how much does it snow? can you bring a snowblower? flamethrower?

lol! all we get are shovels, but we only have to do parts of sidewalks, where the bobcat cant reach.

Do it!! I have to do more but then again I have a Ram 2500 or an F250, both with plows to drive around plus a snowblower for the walks.. The first time you do it you'll probably be so tired at the end of the day that all you want to do is go to sleep, but then you'll get up early the next morning and have energy you never knew you had... at least that's how it worked for me... YMMV.
