Put my old earbuds through the wash and the audio is messed up :( .. Any earbud recommendations?

My old one's were Sennheiser omx 60 vc street ii and I loved them to death. Actually got them twice and would pick them up again except they are discontinued :(. Though one complaint was that the bass was pretty weak. But the mids and highs were amazingly clear.

I just got the Sennheiser cx 300 ii and I'm not impressed. The cable noise is very loud and annoying. omx 60 had cable noise but was no where as bad. The bass and mids are very good but it's so weak on the treble that audio sounds really muddy or something. It's really bothering me and I am thinking about returning them to Amazon.

So two questions. I've only had the new earbuds for a couple days, and I've never returned anything to amazon. Will they take them back? Also what earbuds do you guys suggest?

Requirements
Price range 20-100. I got the cx300 ii for 40.
No to little cable noise

cable noise is generally worse on earbuds that don't loop around the ear. To solve this, you can adjust your cx300 by looping it around your ear

amazon is pretty good on return policy, so they will probably take them back.

a list of helpful reviews on many earbuds
pay particular attention to the microphonics score for cable noise and audio quality for audio balance

given your 2 requirements:
the meelectronics m9 is pretty respectable at ~$15 (was typically $20)

klipsch s4 at ~$37 (was typically $50; s4i has microphone if you want but is lots pricier)
