On NBC 10's "10 Show" on Monday, three members of the Philadelphia Eagles cheerleading squad discussed the first DVD from the popular group.

"It shows the audition process. A lot of people don't know how involved it is," said Monica, a cheerleader who is also a Temple student majoring in broadcast journalism.

"The Making Of The Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders Lingerie Calendar" chronicles the tryouts, photo shoots - and a beach front showdown with the Miami Dolphins cheerleaders - in a 45-minute DVD released last week by the Eagles.

The squad consists of 38 women chosen out of 70 finalists earlier this year.

This summer, the team caused quite a stir when it released its annual cheerleader calendar with the women strutting in lingerie, becoming the first NFL team to show its cheerleaders in their underwear.

Some of the new footage shown on 10! revealed what goes on behind the scenes at the tryouts and at the subsequent photo shoot.

The DVD is available at the Eagles Pro Shops, the Rockvale Outlet and PhiladelphiaEagles.com as well as retail stores.

However, the team says the DVD is for mature audiences only.

I believe the video opens with a pizza man delivering a pizza to the cheerleading tryouts......
 
Cheerleaders in particular don't really do anything for me. They have tons of makeup on (so fans 40 rows back can still see their smile, which is fake), and there's a lot of them who are usually 30+ years old doing it to support their kid(s). They're just a collection of really fit women. In short, their beauty/hotness is often overrated.

If they can do this, then why did the Panthers fire those two cheerleaders for the incident in the restroom?
 
Sigh. The cheerleaders are having a better season than the team. . .
