EAC/LAME recording

After using MusicMatch and iTunes, I've been trying to switch to EAC/LAME for ripping. I really like the program, especially the VBR aspect. I've had a problem though, when an error is detected. After the 10 or so retries, the ripping for that track stops.

I'd rather the program continue to rip and give me a small pop or whatever, but I can't figure out how to do so.

Alternately, can anyone recommend a VBR ripper that is a bit more fault tolerant?

Also, anyone know when the 64 bit versions of EAC and LAME will make the scene?

If you don't get the answer you are looking for here, you may want to try over at HydrogenAudio or the EAC forum.

Whenever I got an error as you described with EAC, I tried changing the ripping mode for the drive from the default "Secure Mode" (I think it is that) to one of the other options.
