EA takeover?

I've heard that EA may be taking over VALVe, if so then this may be the end of pc gameing as a see it, but how could this happen... It just really seems that, with HL2E3 on the horizon (Being released god knows when, which I don't really mind I liked the way valve used to do it) and Left 4 Dead 2 less than a year after the original, does anyone have any info on whether this is true or not? Maybe, and is does seem that VALVe has taken a real downturn...:brokenheart:

I can't see this happening. There were rumors recently that EA would be bought by Apple...it's mostly just nonsense.

Well EA finally got Pandemic Studios and Bioware earlier this year but I doubt they'd get Valve.

I'm assuming with a 101 you are the teacher of all things Azeroth.

I'm not sure why everyone assumes that its WoW, its Warcraft 3

A) EA is getting taught how to do PC gaming proper by some their recent aquisitions... see Bioware as exhibit A.

B) EA will not bankrupt... A IP feeding frenzy would ensue first. They have too many tremendously juicy studios with A-list talent (Exhibit A -- Bioware) that other companies would pay plenty to acquire.

Yeah but they ruin their talents.... i have no idea how, all they need to do is buy the studio and do nothing, absolutely nothing, leave it to its own devices but no they manage to fuck it up somehow. Bullfrog, westwood, to a degree maxis as well, maxis is still there but their games suck, spore was rubbish and so was simcity societies all they got is the sims.
