I bought and downloaded BF 2142 through EA Downloader or whatever they are calling it now. The first problem is that the software deletes the cache files when you install the game, so you can't back them up. No problem... just borrow a friend's copy right? WRONG.
They also don't give you the key. On their website they say to check your recent orders for your key. Since the order is over a month old, the key is just unavailable. I wish all games were made or at least distributed by Valve.
Another thing that sucks about the downloads is they only last 6 months. After that you have to re-buy the game, since you don't have a key or any other recourse. If you pay extra you can extend that to two years, but apparently that isn't available for all games.
