EA seems to have borrowed a couple tank designs from 40K

First one looks like an exact relica. The second one there is some variation.

yeah, color's different and the turret's turned a bit.

no
the tread/track is completely different than the WH model

there are spikes on the sides of the spiked roller thing - WH model has none

the roller sling is slightly smaller - than the WH model

there is some sort of X insignia on the front of the turret - WH model has a plaque

it has a small gun on top of the turret, none on WH model

the front of the turret has 3 pods where the WH model only has a single flat space with that plaque thingy on it

I don't know how you can even tell what the tread/track is on the 40k model, but the one side pic you can eve see it it looks damn similar.

Spikes on the side, I certainly see spikes or bolts, but definitely something sticking out on the sides of the 40k models roller thing.

You realize the X insignia on the C&C thing is painted on to a box extruding out which is right where the one for the 40k is.

You win here, they added a gun on top of it.

If you can't see that it is a blatant copy of the 40k model you are either blind, a fool, or both. Otherwise you are just trolling.

So the guy took the base model, added some spikes, a coat of different paint and tossed on some bling and called it a day. got it.

They are clearly copies. The Warhammer designs are not based on real-world tanks, and have features that don't make logical sense they are just supposed to look cool.

EA copied those unique, non-real-world art design decisions.

First one is unique enough to be a copy. The 2nd one in BOTH cases just add guns in certain spots of a pretty typical tank design. I don't see it there, but 1st one is pretty damning.

Typical EA, pathetic lack of creativity. Sums the whole company up really, buy others who have creativity then wreck it for the lulz, that's their whole business strat.

Anyone familiar with Wh40k lore will immediately recognize the 2nd tank as the Leman Russ tank.

It may look like a 'generic' tank but far from it. Look at the 40k lore and they will describe that tank in great detail such as each of the guns located on the tank and the different variations that it can take on.

Especially with the placement of the secondary cannons and the side turrets the copy is pretty damn blatant.

The second tank is is a Baneblade actually which is also a very popular tank in 40k (mostly due to Apocalypse probably). The Leman Russ has very distinctive track shape.

Here is an image from a reddit thread on the topic that probably resembles the C&C one a little closer, there have been many variations of the baneblade in the 20 some years that GW have been making models of it; RPS used a fairly recent one-

I actually think i have a very poorly painted example of that armorcast model boxed up in the basement

The baneblade was also a unit in Winter Assault, the first expansion for Dawn of War, and many gamers who aren't familiar with the tabletop version will also recognize it.
