EA rumoured to be considering aquiring Crytek

I personally think Steam is a great idea...

- Can "preload" the game and play immediately upon release
- Often there is a 10% discount on the price if you preorder a game
- Game patches automatically download and install
- Can redownload all your games for free if you reformat or lose them
- Valve Anti-Cheat does game-wide bannings for cheaters who are caught
- Valve actually supports its games and releases patches and updates frequently
- EA doesn't get any money from publishing <- AWESOME

If you don't vote with your feet, your voice means nothing. We cried out about Sony/BMG's rootkits, yet how many of you are going to rush out to buy a ps3? Giving them money to be scumbags will just ... *drumroll* encourage them to be scummier, since you're proving there's money in it. Don't buy EA games.

Also, just because they're not negotiating, doesn't mean they won't try a hostile takeover.
