EA to take on film and TV giants

Video game giant Electronic Arts (EA) says it wants to become the biggest entertainment firm in the world.
The US firm says it wants to compete with companies such as Disney and will only achieve this by making games appeal to mainstream audiences.[\i]

etc.

Sad. Sega was getting the ESPN stuff well integrated into their games this year, and now they've lost that license too.

EA's definitely following the "If you can't beat 'em, destroy 'em" idea lately. Their games are second best, but instead of focusing on improving them, they'd rather just not have the others exist. Oh well.

I for one welcome our new EA overlords. I'd like to remind them that as a trusted Internet personality, I can be helpful in rounding up others to toil in their underground sugar caves.

Well, this ATer was... possibly a little hasty earlier and would like to... reaffirm his allegiance to this forum and its human moderators. It may not be perfect, but it's still the best forum we have. For now.
