Boycott them why? So those programmers who have terrible jobs will have no jobs?

Edit: I thought this was Off Topic. Since you posted it in Off Topic, you might as well just contribute to warcrow's thread.

Well no one is forcing them to work there, and I'm pretty sure they make darn good money. Thing is, programming jobs aren't always easy to come by these days so yeah, it's a nice way of looking at it. As a programmer, I'd rather be employed than unemployed, and I think it's dumb to boycott a company because they "mistreat" their employees who work there of their own free will. That said, look in warcrow's thread to see that I think EA's policies are idiotic.

I'm sorry, I think boycotts and petitions are both idiotic.

Just an Idea.

I figured this had to do with programmers so, it fit here.

They have the option to leave out of their free will, but they have a family to support and that may not be an option; hope can keep them there - EA keeps giving them a date and breaking it.

If that's the way game companies are then programming is not my field. They couldn't pay me enough to work those hours.

Me neither, but then I'm not a game programmer. I'm a developer for an organization that is not a software company - I work 40 hours a week and love my job.

Edit: I didn't mean to imply that you posted this in the wrong place - it fits in either OT or Software, and I thought I was in OT. Since I was wrong, and since there is already a thread about this in Software, I was politely calling repost. :)

if they're willing to work such long hours without complaint, they're only asking to be made used of
