EA download manager

It's not much at all and nothing like Steam. You just log-in to your EA account on the website and use the EA downloader to download the stuff you've purchased and can redownload them. It's nothing like Steam since you have to purchase stuff from the website and the downloader just downloads the stuff for you and keeps it in a certain folder. In the TOS it says if you haven't logged in to your account for 24 months, you lose everything in it.

If you have not used your Entitlements or EA Account for twenty four (24) months or more and your account has associated Entitlements, your Entitlements will expire and your EA Account may be cancelled for non-use.

So once I download the game, can I save the downloaded file and use that to install in the future?

Can I do this without that stupid EA download manager?

For any game, in the cache/username directory where ea download manger is installed, there will be a folder for that game. That folder is more or less the extracted ISO of that game. You should be able to backup/burn that folder and be good to go

Have you tried this before without using the EA download manager?
