EA acquires Mythic (DAoC) and pairs them with the UO team!

This could be it folks. Toss the Renaissance changes....keep Age of Shadows if you like and make it all 3D and you've got the perfect MMORPG.

Could result in a sweeping expansion pack or may end up being a sequel. Either way this is the ONLY MMORPG news I've read in years that has me optimistic at all.

I think this game is overblown. Something tells me it'll be a bust.

His latest game is so contrived it sounds like it was designed by one of those clowns at those game design colleges they advertise on TV. Without the Ultima universe as his pallet, he's just an average designer.

how can anything sound good with EA in the mix?
seriously, mythic is working on Warhammer. Do you think they have time to work with the UO team and create the "best game ever"? if anything, look for uo to be dropped and everyone shifted to Warhammer

Garriot created the Ultima universe. He can create another experience just as dramatic.

Tabula Rasa is turning out to be a nice looking gaming experience.

yep. And the following updates were even worse.Under EA, UO went from being the perfect fantasy MMO, to now, a 'game' of who has the brightest neon gear and biggest % of some crazy stats
