E8500 Overclocking Question

Hey,

I have overclocked an E8500 to 450*9 with ram running stock unlinked at 1600mhz CL8. I have tested for 12hours on Prime 95 no problems. However, maybe 50% of the time, when I try and wake from hibernate, the system will freeze on the Asus Striker 2 Extreme boot screen before you get to the POST messages. I was hoping someone could explain what this means? i.e does this mean its not stable?

My system is E8500, Corsair H50, Striker 2 Extreme, 4gb, 1600 mhz CL8 Corsair Dominators, 1x GTX 460, PC Power & Cooling Silencer 910W, Asus Xonar Essence STX

VCore = 1.328 (CPUz), 1.27 (Bios), LLC enabled, VTT = 1.38, NB = 1.52, SB = 1.6 and RAM is 1.66, everything else is auto

Thanks for any help you can give.

OMFG.. then don't hybernate.. :\. you guys are impossible...

If you're using XP, its hibernate mode is basically useless in my experience. Use the Stand By option or move over to Win7, whose sleep/stand by modes are much cleaner. If you're already on Win7, then what the last guy said!

No I know Hibernate is rubbish, but I started using SharpEnviro as a Shell replacement and it doesnt have a StandBy function, only hibernate. I f*cking hate shutting down so what am I meant to do?!

I m on Win7 x64 btw

During xpp days had hibernate mode on the kids 2 pcs.
If for any reson pc lost power even for a second had to do a clean install.
Have a xeon 3110@3400 1.07v in win 764 sleep mode.
In sleep mode no big hibernate file needed.

Guess the only answer is stop using SharpEnviro until they update. I ll will repost if it still happens under sleep. Thanks for the reseponses
