What should my divider be to maximize this clock.

I'm currently sitting stable at 3.8 9.5x400 at 1:1 running at 1066 DDR2 (G.Skill)

I'm just a bit new to messing with memory and going a bit more advanced in OC'ing, but i'm sitting good in temps and I want to push my CPU to 4.0

What should my RAM be set to in the BIOS?

Help appreciated!

More info about your system would help, but at first glance I would not change the RAM divider for that little jump; 1066 ram should work just fine at 840 lol....

Set RAM voltage to spec and change timing to 5-5-5-18-2T. Keep 1:1 divider. Raise Vcore in BIOS to 1.36. Turn off load line calibration. Crank up FSB to find the maximum stable speed of CPU. Now go back to BIOS and change timing to 5-5-5-15-2T. Try the next higher memory divider. Check RAM and CPU for stability. If okay, then move up to the next higher memory divider and recheck RAM and CPU.

That CPU should top out around 420-440MHz FSB. A 1:1.20 or 1:1.25 memory divider should work well with DDR2 1066.

Sorry, quick question. I'm not really familiar with the terminology relating to dividers.

I know that the bios reads me 1066/1066 so im running 1:1

But i don't really understand the divider tweaking on my mobo. The A B C D 2.66, etc etc deal.

Am i trying to go for 421FSB and the closest value to 1066?

Or should i be scaling down to 9x and going with a higher FSB?

Sorry, help would be greatly appreciated here.

My ram is rated 5-5-5-15 @ 2.1 E, are you saying change it to 18 on that voltage?
