Hey guys, I just have a quick question concerning compatibility.

Is the Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0ghz CPU

I ask because a lot of reviewers that posted on the CPU said to make sure its compatible with the mobo. I personally don't have much knowledge on mobos but as far as I can tell it should be compatible, but I thought I'd just double check with people who know better than I. Thanks!

And make 100% sure that your BIOS version is F8a, because ONLY that version for that specific motherboard model will effectively support that CPU model. The F8a revision was released on December 6th of last year, so there are a few chances that the motherboard you'll buy won't have that BIOS version in particular. If that is not the case then I don't know if it will boot up properly with a Wolfdale in it. I would say yes it will, but we never know...

I'm not an expert so I'll let someone else take the lead.
