e8400 OC temp question

After just putting together my new rig I am trying to get my e8400 to 4ghz stable. Im running it at 9x450 and memtest passed test 5 10+ passes without error.

Im on my 3rd hour of OCCT but im getting 3 different temp readings. In OCCT it's averaging about 66c which is high but Speedfan is averaging 62c and Real Temp is averaging 56c.

Vcore in bios is 1.42 but coming up as 1.36 CPU-z after droop.

Provided it lasts several more hours of testing at the same temps do you guys think these temps are to high for 24/7 use? Also what temp reading should I trust as the most accurate? I've been looking around and most posts are saying the Real Temp is the one to trust.

doesnt look out of the ordinary to me...keep that baby under 70 for sure though.

why doesn't Real Temp recognize anything under 32*c for me? HW monitor reads 28*c and they are usually the same coming from my last build with my AMD system ... miss it already

You are saying that HW monitor and realtemp should be the same? Why do you need two monitoring systems to read the same? realtemp should be enough.

You are saying that HW monitor and realtemp should be the same? Why do you need two monitoring systems to read the same? realtemp should be enough.

no, im asking why real temp doesn't show below 32*C When i seen this i wanted to check and see if it was truly 32*C so i tried HW monitor and it read 28*C

So given my question, "...why doesn't real temp read below 32*C..." and the results of HW monitor, answers your question. Always question.

Maybe it doesnt read below 32c because your chip doesnt go below 32c....:shocked:
