i have to say 58c for 1.28 volts is a bit to much
cause i have 1.38~ 1.37 v and its running at 58c(i am talking about core temps)
and the amibient today is 28c !!

whats ur cooler??
dunno may be for ur cooler these figures might be gud :p

but hey why 1.28 v for that overclock try some thing like 1.22v or even 1.21 v
if that doesnt work try uping it
and if any time u get struck because of lowering volts u can always reset ur bios either manually or by following ur mobo manual

seems like a nice one and some nice thermal glue
but sun beam is a company i nvr heard of
i mean i heard that sun beam makes some cold cathode kit but this is the first time iam seeing there thermal products

but anyways try to bring the voltage down
as it is in the guide voltage is propostional to power(but power depends upon time and the specific heat capacities but then the as5 reduces the specific heat capacities so voltage is not that propositional to the output temperatures but it does depend upon the voltages ;p a little physics)

anyways try to have the voltages as low as possible
hey whats ur motherboard's fsb ??
is it a 1333mhz board or a 1600 fsb board

u know what u can like have ur configuration in your sig ;p
it really helps a lot ;p

Sunbeam makes the Tuniq Tower. I have an E0 E8400 running at the same settings (400x9) at 1.24v. With the stock heatsink my temps were 33 idle and 68 full load. With the Tuniq my temps are 25 idle and 43 full load. Artic Silver 5 used for both heatsinks.

Don't beat yourself up over it. We've all posted something misinformed at some point. ;) The fact that you have some regret about it says there's hope for you. :)

but i still say decrease ur volatge for optimum overclocking
i achieved this overclock of 3.6 ghz on a vcore of 1.218 v
and stress test for 7 hours striaght

58c is well within the safe zone....try lowering vcore as long as you dont lose stability...That vcore isn't bad...I had an older stepping one and I needed about 1.28v for 3.6ghz.....1.41v for 4ghz....

Remember prime95 isn't a real world app..You likely will not run anything that will generate the heat of prime95. To be honest the most real world app you would likely run on this (gaming, DCC, encoding) will be 8-10c below this high...Meaning in real world this system would be high 40's low 50's...

While some of this OCD overclockers in here have a preference for cpu temperature the bottomline you coudl run this thing at 70c and you would be fine....tjunction isn't until 100c....so you wont all out kill it...
