Hello,
Check out my Sig for my current config.I usually have my e6850 o/c to 3.6Ghz, and then one day after restarting is was stuck at 2.4 Ghz
I have tried clearing the cmos, updating the Bios to the newest version. Even just setting everything back to stock to get my CPU running @ 3.0 Ghz no luck...

It reads 266FSB X9 Multi it will not budge, no matter what i do. I have made sure this is accurate by checking the BIos. Coretemp and CPU-Z.

ANy help please.......

Yes, same thing. it seems like every setting stays te same through out the bios. But when i boot up the computer the opening screen says e6850 266X9 2.4 Ghz. Then when i restart and go into bios my setting are still saved 333X9 or 400X9 they are still there??

Regardless of what BIOS says, what does CPU-Z say in Windows? What about enabling (or disabling) EIST?

CPU-Z says 2400 Mhz and so does core temp.

EIST?? Is this the option that downclocks your CPU when @ idle--If so this is disabled along with all that other thermal junk..

when you cleared the cmos did you physically unplug the power supply from the computer first? sometimes clearing the cmos can be a pain in the butt.

Yes I did. I tried removing the Cmos battery for a couple min and using the Jumper to reset as well. It seems like it resets, but i can't get it to post anything past 2400Mhz.
