e6750 vs 6600 for gaming

I'm pretty confused about the whole dual core vs quad core arguement, so I was curious. Is the 6600 or the e6750 the best for a gaming rig?

for gaming, the dual core is best since not every game takes advantage of 4 cores (except lost planet and supreme commander)

the e6750 is the best between the two you have listed, it's clocked higher (if you're not an overclocker) and it should o/c a little better than the B2 E6600.
