Quick comparison reference between e8500 and e6750 OC.

Review Link
Obvious as hell those numbers are rubbish. Or typos. An e6750 @ 2.6ghz outperforms an e8500 @ 4ghz? Yeah right. Trusted reviews, eh?

Well, I found a better review comparing E8500/Q6600/E6750 and with my descent OC the difference will be negligiable.

The only benefit would be if I were gaming at less the 1680x1050, as expected the performance impact of a cpu in gaming goes down as resolutions go up. The only games that I can't run at more then 70fps with most things maxed out on my res are:

Crysis (and Warhead)
Stalker: Clear Sky

And they will improve with the new GPU.

Nice, thank you. I'm happy with the e6750 and I just got my GTX 260 core 216 for $232 AR/MS Live CB! So I'm excited for that.🙂

I think that's the most cost-effective upgrade to do. Nothing at all wrong with those e6750s. Sounds like you got a great deal too.
