So I've been running SP2004 on this system and watching the temps closely.

So far I've gone 9 minutes on SP2004 with these settings:

Ratio = 8
FSB = 400
Ram = 400 w/5-4-4-15 2T 2.0v (OCZ's EPP settings)
no other changes, no vcore/fsb voltage etc...

@3.2GHz temps have been 58-62c according to core temp...

Are those too high or are they ok? and at what temp should I start to worry.

edit:Temps according to Core Temp.

Is 62 Deg. the max? Or normal running temperature? if not, what is your normal idling temp? 62 deg. is just fine if that's your max. It IS too hot for an idling temp. You should be trying to get to 40 deg. or lower as your mean. When I run OCCT or Prime on mine (see below) it gets to 68 or so max, normal operation is about 38-39. Never a whisper of a problem. And mine's jacked up pretty high.

Not as high as my incoming E8600 will be, however!

Using Tuniq Tower 120.

62 is max after 18 hours no errors so far. I more or less want to know how much higher and can push the FSB. Also, average idle/surfing temps are 37-44 degrees.

I run my 6750 a little harder...438 FSB @ 1.3v and I will hit 62 in OCCT after 30 min or so...can't get her to run hotter then that. That is with the room temp at 78-82 or so.

I think you're in pretty good shape! :thumbsup:

At least, based on my experience with the same CPU and a lower-profile cooler (in fact, I switched over to the Intel stock cooler when my bracket broke on my Zalman).

Now up 40 mins into Orthos Prim with FSB 425 and Mem @ 425 (3.4 on CPU) no voltage or anything else... high temp is @ 66c so far. I think that is ok, but should I worry when I get close to 70c? Ambient temp is about 80-83F.

I ran my my E6750 @ 3.8GHz - 1.5250V in BIOS. Idle @ 35C, 100% Orthos/Prime95 @ 57C. Lapped my CPU and my TRUE-120 and used AS-5. Room temp was @ 21C.

You're still good to go Badnewcastle, but I would start to get nervous when the CPU gets close to 70C. Ofcourse, in 99% of the time you're cpu will not reach 100% usage, unless you are planning to do some RC-5 or something alike.

@ 60C and above I would start lapping the IHS, and check my computer's airflow, but that is just me.

Not bad! I got to 3.71 GHz Orthos stable, but the heat was too high (75C) and the voltage was a little beyond max spec. This was with a custom cooler. My max FSB, 8x463. I decided to throttle back to safer levels.
