I just called them they said, dispite having them in stock, Intel will not allow them to ship any conroes before August 7th. 🙁 they have thousands in thier cage though he said...

My birthday is Aug 7... so what a great present to myself eitherway😛
 
Yeah that's what I've heard also. I wonder what's the beef. Is that Intel's gesture for OEMs that currently sell Core 2 Duo systems?

I still pimp em but the only way I will exceed what I got, a low ball 3800+@3Ghz😉, is with a decent multiplier. (check out anands crappy Overclocks of the low end Allendales) ...If the 9x multi E4200 was out I'd get that in a heart beat..
 
Well Obviously he's dreaming of 4.0GHz. If he achieves that that'd be a real nice b-day present. 🙂

No, it's Intel's gesture for Stevie J., who is presumed to be launching C2D desktops at WWDC. His keynote speech is Aug. 7.

(Yes, that little @#$@#$@#$@# who makes fashion accessory "computers" for college girls apparently gets to dictate Intel's launch schedule)
