hi, I am a bit puzzled. My E6600 really is not as cool as most people have reported. I have use the Thermalright XI-128 and pair that with the SCythe's SFF21F fan (which is suppose to be cool and quiet fan.

Under idle, I will be getting around 35C and load close to 49/50C (when using 100% intel's TAT). I put AC5 with it on my 680i motherboard. Is this normal temperature or am I doing something wrong? The temperature is on a fairly cool winter, which the case's temperature is around 32C (based on the 680i's internal fan header's reading). Nothing is OCed at the moment, just runnin at stock.

What temperature should I expect? I may attempt some OC, but the temperature is a bit worrisome to me as I thought the Core 2 Duo is suppose to be cool but the almost 15 degree difference between load and idle makes me wonder shoudl I even OC.

any suggestion?
