E6600 or AMD X2 6000?

Which would you recommend if the price drops on the 22nd for Intel is true? I do not like to OC

Well I think the E6600 OC a lot better. But you probably need an aftermarket heatsink I would think.

The E6600 is a bit faster overall, and uses considerably less power.

The E6600 is better in every respect. Slighter faster, slightly cheaper, MUCH cooler running.

Btw, I'm running a 6400 @ 3.2Ghz at stock voltage on an Asus P5B-E with a $20 Rosewill tower cooler. So, if you O/C, you can save $$$$. This 3.2Ghz 6400 blows away a stock 2.9x Ghz X6800, which costs loads of $$$$!!

AMD won't be back until Barcelona, if then.
