E6600 has errors with Prime95?

So my E6600 has been working great. Today before I left for work I turned on Prime 95 to do the torture test. However, after about 2 and a half hours it errored out with a rounding problem. I think it expected a number less than 4, and got 4.9999953293 or something like that. I've just run 5 series of memtest86, and all tests passed. Anyone have a suggestion of where I might look next for a problem? I'm not overclocking or anything.

Using the latest beta, I get this:

Test 1, 4000 Lucas-Lehmer iterations of M19922945 using 1024K FFT length.
FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4
Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file.
Torture Test ran 0 minutes 4 seconds - 1 errors, 0 warnings.
Execution halted.

I just ran OCCT and it too said the processor was unstable. Anyone know what to do?

Yeah, raise your vcore, or lower your overclock.

edit: Okay, just reread your original post. Since you aren't overclocking, you've got a hardware problem. It's either your power supply, your memory, your motherboard, or least likely, your processor.

I fixed it. Dam SPD with memory. The corsair ram i got had timings of 5-5-5-12... but for some reason the bios was getting 5-5-5-15 by SPD, so I lowered that. Also the BIOS detected FSB speed as a few MHz faster than the published specs (I think like 5 MHz). I doubt that was the problem, but I changed that as well. After all that, things seem to be running fine. I have been running Super Prime 2004 for the last 8 hours on blend with no issues. OCCT also successfully completed a torture test. Before both were breaking after 20 minutes or so. I'm happy now that it was just a config setting and not actual bad hardware. 🙂 Thanks for all your help everyone!
