I have dropped the temps a little since these snapshots were taken.

My house is set to 72-74 F year round.

Here is the fan situation.
I have a Thermaltake Armor:
2 92 mm Thermaltake 56 CFM Blowing Air Out
1 120mm Silverstone FN121 53 CFM Blowing Out Exhaust
1 120mm Silverstone FM121 110 CFM Sucking Air in the Front
1 25cm Thermaltake 60 CFM Sucking Air in the Side
1 Stock Tuniq Tower Fan in the Tuniq Tower, I think it does 50-60CFM

What else could I do to lower temps?

I am also considering selling this E6600 and getting a Xeon 3060, how do those overclock compared to E6600's?

Should I try to take it to 3.6 ghz?

What is the maximum temps that I should absolutely not go over?

Sure, why not?

E6600 or Xeon 3060 = 6 one-way, half dozen the other, IMHO...

Secondly, if you prime @ 4GHz on air, I'll add you to my 'Buddies List'. 😀

Just a thought, you probably get more feedback in the CPU forum. I understand you questions are regarding temps, but since you are OCing it seems more appropriate.

I'm curious about that too. I think most people, in general, are going to tell you that the higher your temps are, the lower life expectancy your chip will have.

It would probably be fine in the high 50s under load, it just won't last as long.

Mine, under load, is in the mid-high 50s.
