I've been building a couple of Core 2 E6400 systems and I happen to notice something. On one system the default voltage for the CPU in the bios is listed as 1.325v while the other system lists the default voltage as 1.2625v. These are basically identical systems using a Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3. The 1.325v chip will overclock to 3.2GHz @ 1.3625v while the 1.2625 chip will go to 3.4GHz (maybe higher have not found the limit yet) @ 1.3025v. Is this a way to tell what chips might be good overclockers? Please list your default voltages for your Core 2 chip and your max overclock.

I hope your theory that a lower default voltage chip being a better overclocker is true as my E6400 runs at 1.232 and sometimes dips as low as 1.200.

My motherboard (ASRock 775-DualVSTA) is a poor overclocker so I haven't been able to test it's real ability yet but I hope to once I get a better board(and RAM and videocard, etc).
