Hi
I got this problem with my c2d e6400 allendale. It always boote when i got my FSB higher! Have not changed anytthing in bios just the disable Q-fan and some other stuff otherweise i went to try the overlcock.. Atm the fsb is at 1100 but when i try to go higher it boots and not running in windows.. I got p5ne-sli650i mobo and corsair xms c4 4-4-4-12, but in cpuz it says something like 5-5-5-32. Cpuz also shows my ram at 412 MHz 2:3
5-6-6-31 2T wtf

Any ideas ?

You have to set your RAM and FSB options as unlinked.

Disable all spectrum related settings as well as C1E, thermal control and speedstep. Also disable Linkboost and GPU(xxx)

Set your CPU Voltage to 1.45 V and your RAM voltage to the advertised value (same with timings).

FSB Voltage should be 1.4, other settings leave as auto.

If it works, try lowering the CPU voltage until you have problems again!

Okay it works so far now the ram says 4 - 4 - 4 -12 but

the FSB😀RAM is set to 7:10 ? is this okay ?

I tried raising from 1111 fsb to 1120 it works gonna go higher in a bit later hope it works
CPu volt is set to 1.375v

Did you set the FSB and RAM as UNLINKED?

You cannot just choose any ramdom value and type it in there. You have to keep a ratio.

The easiest and most stable to follow is the 1:1

SO PLEASE, IF YOU WANT HELP FINDING OUT HOW FAR YOU CAN GO, START LISTENING AND SET YOUR FSB AND RAM TO UNLINKED AND USE A 1:1 RATIO FOR NOW.

Also, you need to go higher with your CPU Voltage if you want to go anywhere, and it will stop you from coming back here saying, "hey guys, my PC cannot go past 3.1ghz"

There is something called Vdrop (CPU Voltage is usually lower in windows that what it is set in Bios). So your 1.375v could in fact be a 1.31V instead.

Okay when im gonna try to change the rotation i have to put it to linked! then i set it to 1 : 1, but then i cant increase the FSB/memory forgot but one of them were lucked so i switech it to unlinked and my Memory mhz when the same as FSB 1150 but wouldnt boot into windows

What?....

your RAM is supposed to be half of your FSB value. so 1200fsb 600mhz ram

1400 fsb, 700mhz ram

No cuz whhen i get 1250 fsb my rams goes 1250 fsb when iset them to 1:1

atm i got FSB 1230 FSB 400 MHZ RAM frequency FSB: DRAM 10:13

Don't use the 1:1 setting..

Use UNLINKED AND THEN ENTER 1:1 SETTINGS YOURSELF.

UNLINKED

FSB 1400
RAM 700mhz

But i cant change to 1:1 only when i press linked i go there and it was set to auto then i change it to 1:1, then i press unlinked to i can change the FSB then it goes back to auto ?

when changing to 1:1 FSB ram are the same

Okay orion23 !

Gonna try that 1400 FSB 700 Mhz are that the same as 1:1 ? THen when i go one up then the other also goes 1 up true?
