E6400 OC'd Temps

I have an E6400 overclocked to 3.2GHz, with a Tuniq Tower on top.

CoreTemp is saying that each one of my cores idle at about 40-42C.

That seems a *bit* hot, should I be worried? I'll find my load temps soon.

No, that's normal for the C2Ds.

that's normal, especially since you're looking at coretemps now instead of some diode on the motherboard or whatnot.

as for overvolting, expect ridiculous increases in temps when you hit 1.4v, 1.5v, etc. It's obscene. Nothing like I've ever seen in the old days. Hopefully, when my water stuffs get here, things will be under control again

What is the highest temp (at load) that you would consider safe?
