If you are also purchasing a motherboard also, then go with a Conroe compatible board and get the E6300. Do not, by all means, get a 950, if you are also in the market for a motherboard. The Conroes are so much more superior over their predecessor.

Overclocker? E6300. 3GHz+ is a 'standard' air cooled overclock, outperforms an overclocked X2 4200+ by far.

Stock? X2 4200+, cheaper mobos mean it's better value.

Then you can eliminate the Pentium D 950 from your list.

yeah i think ill go with the E6300 i jsut had a look at a review where it did pretty good motherboards are abit more but you pay for what you get i think i would pay the bit more and get the E6300 i see some people can overclock them over 3Ghz and didnt think it would get anywhere near that at stock Vcore

If you have a good overclockable motherboard,

E6300>FX 62>XE 965

aren't you anyways sure of that?
