Basically - I have set a budget and i wont be buying any more than that.

For a motherboard, i am going to get an Asus P5B (non-deluxe) - my hardware retailer only has the asus p5b and p5b deluxe and the deluxe is way too expensive. Is the regular p5b as stable whilst overclocking?

Also, I can either get an E6400 with generic DDR667 or an E6300 with a 1GB Corsair twinX XMS2 DDR800.

I'm guessing the latter will be better for overclocking, especially after the multiplier unlocked bios just released. What do you think?

Buy the p5b deluxe it comes with more essentials. Heatpipe Cooling, better thermal design, 8 phaze power design. the board runs cooler, better options in bios

Buy this or you will regret and end up buying twice and getting the one you really wanted later on.

Buy the 6400 its not much more and you can overclock more for the little cost.

Buying 667 memory will limit your overclock, buy the 800
the timings will be irrevalent, its how fast you can overclock with it

Dont buy ocz memory it wont work in p5b. buy corsair. lifetime warranty

Sell your mum to get it.

You have more fun with it
