I was hoping to get some assistance with my own hardware and am hoping that you guys can find a little bit of time to give some insight.

I have been trying to overclock my machine for about two weeks now. However, I am new to this and have not had much luck bringing my e6300 over 2.1 GHz. I have used the automatic ASUS AI Overclock feature. Whenever I tried manually putting the FSB/Voltage in, my machine will boot with a long startup beep. If I am successful at booting up, then I'll get a BSOD in Windows. I know I am doing something wrong. It seems stable at the 2.1--but I know I can go higher with my hardware. Temperature is not an issue. I also have fast 800MHz RAM (OCZ Rev 2) and an Asus P5N-E SLI motherboard. I have my voltage set on automatic (except my RAM--I have it on 2.018 V--5-5-5-15).

I have heard that I should overclock my motherboard unlinked. With a stock cooler, what would you recommend I run my FSB and my RAM?

Again, I look forward to any feedback. I have searched this forum. I have been trying to specifically find people who have overclocked the e6300--and when I do find them, I usually only here about the results but not the process.

If anyone has a setup similar to mine with a successful overclock, I appreciate any help.
