Got a e4500 c2duo, a p6n sli mobo, 8800gt and a mid tower case, i mention that as there isnt a ton of room in my case, just enough and i have 3 case fans 1 exit 2 enter tho the one in front cant take in much air, anyway.

i keep getting 80 degrees on prime 95 and bad stuttering in COD4 and Supreme Commander, so i believe its heat problems there too. Im using the intel tat and speed fan, the newest version afaik, but I am getting real high temps when running powerful progs. I even put in a 80cfm 80mm fan full blast and it maybe improved temps 2 degrees. I am using the intel stock heatsink but with a p6ngm mobo i was using for two weeks waiting for this one to RMA, i never had probs, though I never tested temps, I could play any game fine.

What do i do, and i have been eyeing some inexpensive but great heatsinks but I just want to know is 80 really high?

Did you install the cpu yourself? Did you apply any thermal paste? The intel push pin mounting is sometimes tricky. Check if your HSF (all pins) is seated properly, its best to remove your mobo just to be sure.

Mine is hitting 96c as soon as I turn it on, while system temp is 30c. Could the temp sensor be bad?
