I have an E6600 and a Pentium D 930 and I can't tell the difference between the two in everyday use. Of course, it depends on what you need it for...

Quake 4,Counter Strike, email, spreadsheets, and surfing.

Yeah, what BobSmith said. I'm running an E4300 @ 2.7 with just a slight volt bump (1.35) with the stock HS. They're getting cheaper too (I think they're 169 @ the Egg w/ free ship.) Worth every penny...

I already have the PD, just wondering if it was worth the price to upgrade? I have the Asus P5NE-SLI mobo.

Thanks for the insight.

If your PD is fine for now, wait a month or two for the prices to drop even further on the C2D's. If you overclock, assuming you do with that Ninja, then it would definitely be worth it to upgrade to C2D at some point, but if it were me I'd wait until I could get a good deal, unless the PD just wasn't cutting it anymore.
