I have no real budget, but I would like to get a motherboard that is most cost effective for overclocking a e4300 with the super talent in the hot deals forum (2x1 gb ddr2-667 pc5300 64Mx8 CL5).

SLI or crossfire is not something that I need, so paying more for that is not worth it unless it is thrown in.

Anyway, a quality motherboard that will clock the hell out of the e4300 and support the super talent would be excellent!

thanks in advance.

I looked at that and find it to be helpful, but what about the 650i/680i motherboards that have just been released? How do they compare?

They're good. Look in the AT Motherboard section for a review on the Asus P5N-E SLI. Its just as good as the P965 Express boards, reaching 500+ FSB. however, with an E4300, you don't need crazy high FSB speeds... since it has a high multiplier, so you could save a little on the mobo because of that.

Could I get the cheaper S3 from clubit and still get very similar capabilities out of the e4300? does it matter that it does not specify rev 3.3? should i get the ds3 for the rev. 3.3?

Now gigabtye claims both s3 and ds3 have all solid capacitors with rev. 3.3 I believe.
