I just built my system earlier this week. Heres the specs

C2D E4300
Biostar Tforce 965PT
OCZ Platinum Rev 2 DDR2-800
8800 GTS (320mb)
Antec Smart Power 500Watt PSU
Zalman 7000b-cu cooler

So far I havent had much luck overclocking. The best I've gotten is 334x9 and will get to windows fine but after say 12 hours of just idle it will declock itself and drop the multi to 6. I had cpu voltage at 1.45V and everything else stock. I cannot get it to post above 345fsb on any multiplier. Any suggestions? I've tried loosening my memory timings to 5-5-5-12 and still no go and messing with the voltages. Any suggestions? I ran orthos at the 334x9 and was coming up with 32-35 C at idle and 58-65 at load. Sorry for the lengthy post. I've also updated the bios to the 119RH2. Thanks in advance.

I'm not really familiar with either the E4300 or the Biostar MOBO but did you disable EIST and C1E if applicable? Those can cause unstable OCs by dropping the voltages at idle times.
Also, try loosening to 5-5-5-15 and bumping the vCore to 1.5v if you want to try.
::EDIT - You can also try decreasing the multiplier and increasing the Bus Speed.

to OP, i have similar setup:
- E4300 OEM
- Biostar 965PT running 119rh2 (modded, beta bios)
- 2gb OCZ plat (rev1) ddr2-800
- GF6100 turbo cache (waiting for GF8600 ultra)

and i get same result as you, 334x9 stable at 1.45 vcore, ram 5-5-5-15 v2.1, and everything else default

however, i tried a retail version E4300, and i am able to get about 200MHz more at 1.45 (but i returned retail chip thinking 200Mhz is not worth the extra $$)

do you have OEM E4300? if so, i think you are stuck at 334x9

I have the retail version. I might try loosening my timings some more. Theres no reason it should be stuck at 334. I've seen others who have gotten it higher.
