E4300 @ 1066FSB on non-OC board?

So I really want to get an E4300 and OC the hell out of it, but ultimately I want a MicroATX board for this setup, and there aren't any real options for that (if you know of one, chime in).

So I was thinking, if I get a board that's not necessarily a huge overclocker, but supports both 800FSB and 1066FSB (and of course allows adjustments in the BIOS, couldn't I just put in an E4300 and clock it at 1066FSB to give me ~2.4GHz? Or is there some reason why this wouldn't work - something I'm missing here?

That way, I could work at 2.4GHz until another board is released that will OC a lot higher and is uATX. [And I pray to God that one will be released!]

If the board doesn't allow you to toss the FSB up to 266, then how do you plan on getting it there?

I have a Gigabyte GA-965GM-S2 motherboard running E4300 2.4 GHz.
Very stable, no other tweaks.
By changing PCI-ex, I could take it to about 300 FSB. I am happy with
266 FSB. I basically replaced by E6600 with E4300 but running at the same speed.
E4300 runs almost 15 deg. cooler. (Idles around 25).

Thanks

If your board doesn't support any FSB tweak, you can do the BSEL pin mod
(using conductive paint) as described in another thread and other forums.
This should let you run E4300 at 1066 FSB / 2.4 GHz
