Hi there guys,

I'm here asking for help because I'm completely lost.

I've got my own sweet HTPC running XBMC on an Asrock E350M1 board; it's a fusion with an integrated HD6310.
Now, I just recently reinstalled the system, as I moved to an SSD drive, plus some other tweaks.

Anyway, after I reinstalled win7 pro, I installed the all-in-one AMD chipset drivers from the asrock website, then the VGA drivers from there too.
After that, I downloaded and installed the catalyst drivers from the AMD website.
During that last setup, I got an error during the installation of the ***Edit - see at end of post*** module, but the installation of the whole package carries on fine otherwise.

Now, my problem is that without the AMD drivers, I can't access the Vision control center, so I can't set the color range, and every few minutes my TV (a sony bravia) flickers to black for a second, as if I changed source, and when back it shows the weirdest color (kind of a psychedelic negative). Also, I miss the overscan feature.
I can't access the CCC because when I try to do so from the contextual menu on the desktop, it just crashes. That also happens with the AMD drivers, but at least there I've got the option to run it from the systray.

With the AMD drivers, though, I just can't play h264 content. That is, unless I turn off hardware acceleration in xbmc.
Goes without saying that this kind of cpu can't even remotely dream of playing full hd content without help from the gpu.

So, can you provide any hint, advice, insight, whatever?
I'm completely stuck here...

...and thanks a lot, of course.

***EDIT***
I tried installing each package separately from the 12.10 installer.
I get an error on both AMD Drag and drop transcoding or AMD Media foundation transcoders

I'm now off trying 12.11 beta...
