I just installed a E3110 CPU onto my new 780i board. The default multiplier was x6 so I changed this to x9 to get to 3 ghz. When I boot and run cpu-z it shows x6 and 2 ghz again. Cpu-z and the bios recognize the chip as a 3 ghz model.
The voltage is on Auto and seems to run about 1.13 volts. I don't know if that has something to do with it or not. If so any idea what voltage I should set things to. I had to manually set the voltage for my memory to get that to run at the correct speeds.
I also flashed the new bios.
I build a new PC every 3-4 years and needless to say things change. I googled a bit but only found places that were overclocking the living hell out of the chip which is not what I am looking to do right now.
Any help would be appreciated.
