E30 vs E92 M3

To me the E30 looks more like a M than the E92
But I would prefer to drive the E92

Considering how many mid-90's to low 100 degree days we've had here this summer, I would not even consider owning a car without air conditioning, regardless of whatever else it could provide. I don't like the look of the E30. I have no nostalgic notions about it either. And as the article stated, the E30's performance is quite pedestrian by today's standards. E92 all the way. Out of the whole range, I like the look of the E46 the best, but there is no doubt that the E92 is the best overall car of the line.

Interestingly, that E30 lives not more than half a mile from my house, at BMW UK HQ.

However, I'd have the E92. The original E30 M3 is not much quicker than our 1 series to 60 and has a lower top speed...

This is a really tough one. If it was a second car, a collector item, or just something for the occasional sunday drive, I might get the E30. But For a DD or anything even close, I'd pick the E92...or the E46 M3...if it were an option 😀
