t think that it should be the other way around, have you seen the new os2 games?

i really don't think that two games will be able to save this system from the scrap heap.

os2 died a long time ago, i dont think even ibm uses it anymore

I see no reason to get PS2.

I'm buying GameCube, though. I'm a big-time follower of many Nintendo games. :)

My plan is to buy both GC and X-Box.

I agree joohang, if anything I would get the GC at 150 as I already have an Xbox, but IMHO if you have an Xbox and get the GC there is really no reason to have a POS2, heck even with just an Xbox I wouldn't and haven't wasted my time with it :)

Also after just watching that video I must say I am impressed, almost all of the games they showed looked like ones I would love to have, especially crazy taxi and James bond.

Crazy Taxi got old after CT1. CT2 was boring and rather lifeless compared to CT1 - just the same old same old. Can't wait for Brute Force though - imagine Halo + Counterstrike + (any Tom Clancy based game)

Doom 3 Coming to Xbox

id Software CEO John Carmack announced the development of Doom 3 for PC and Xbox platforms. The announcement was made during the annual Quakecon, where Carmack also announced the development of Quake IV using the new Doom engine, which may also be coming to Xbox sometime down the road. According to the announcement, Doom engine will boast extremely high polygon models and realistic lighting. While commenting on the Xbox port of Doom 3, Carmack stated that PS2 would not be able to handle Doom 3 graphics without "sacrifices", while Xbox port will look just as good as the PC counterpart.

According to Carmack, Doom III can be transferred over to the Xbox without any graphical changes. He further claimed that currently the Sony PlayStation2 isn't powerful enough to handle Doom III, without making graphical sacrifices.
